Doctor wHo The God Complex review with spoilers

Rate it 8/10 .

A rehash of the Nimon this time in prison.

How would a cousin of the Nimon be able to
bring these people into his prison?

Death by faith is what this is all about.

The only to conquer it is for the Doctor to manipulate Amy Pond.

Rita , the muslim nurse, does make a remark
about the Doctor having a God Complex.

The End is the 'nimon dies' , the Doctor return Amy and Rory. Will they be
back?

Recall Horn of the Nimons and think hotel.

I think they will be back sooner rather than later. They are far too
popular for the series to willingly jettison them. My bet is that they
will be back for the grand finale of the current series, which isn't far
away now.

Just remember the Doctor has a God Complex. Rita does note.

Is that an order?

I don't think it did. The impression I got was that the people who
imprisoned it arranged for the prison ship to automatically bring
these people on board to feed the prisoner. Their idea was probably
something like it being better to sacrifice a few individual from many
civilisations rather than allowing the not-quite-Nimon to destroy one
civilisation totally. You know, the needs of the many outweighing the
needs of the few, and all that stuff.

And IMHO that's as unconvincing in this story as it was in The Curse
Of Fenric. The companions' faith in the Doctor is based on direct,
repeated observation of him in action. So it should be closer to
scientific knowledge rather than an abstract faith in an unseen deity.

Probably. Everyone seems to come back at some point nowadays.

With, as I mentioned above, a generous helping of The Curse Of Fenric
too.
