I've just finished watching the DVD of The Aztecs, and I have to say
Wow! What a damn good story! I'd never seen it before, and it really
held my attention right the way through. I only did a little fast
forwarding in the fight scenes :-)
Great print, too. Well done Restoration Boys! And I actually liked the
little bit of South Par...I mean Making Cocoa :-)
Sorry if this is all a little obvious to people who've seen it before,
it's just that for a B&W sixties story, it was just great! Must've been
a real pain to have to wait a week between episodes back then.
Anyway, back to the Gallifrey discussions. Go on, move along :-)

Spoilers:
First you thought Barbara was about to be sacrificed coming out of the
tomb. The ONLY saving grace is the armband leading the Aztecs to think
this is a reincarnated high priest. Of course the rest of the crew
has to integrate in.

Restoration? This was never lost IIRC. TI have all 4 origianl episodes
and no reconstruction is needed.

Welcome to the club. Hartnell is all the best in my books. He is also
a well travelled man. I do advise you read the biography on Hartnell.
Have you seen any other Hartnell there Garth?

I understand. This is a 'digital' reedit. Will this new Atzecs be
available in North America?

It's available on DVD in the US / Canada. He probably already has a copy.

I don't know Yads, but if you come out on the cruise with us from Florida to
Mexico & back this December, you can help us to shoot "The Mayans" (or whatever
we end up calling it) as part of our onboard fanvid workshop. I just spoke to
Barry Letts & Nick Courtney on the phone today and they're really looking
forward to it!

You are lucky you did not have to sit through the VHS release -
*ghastly* picture quality when I tried to watch it a couple of years
ago.

The picture quality was restored from the poor quality prints that
existed.
